Doors with glazing openings

Every door is made to order, so you can design the glazed door you want. A glazed door is as straightforward for us to make as an unglazed one.

Glass

• We use laminated safety glass at least 4+4 mm thick.
• Acoustic doors use 6+6 mm or 8+8 mm laminated, acoustically rated safety glass.
• Choose clear, satin, coloured or other available glass that meets the safety requirements.

Design

• Glazing openings are possible in all door construction options. Choose paint, real wood veneer or high-pressure laminate.
• A surrounding frame must remain: the glass-free distance from the edge of the rebate to the clear opening is 135 mm.
• Glazing beads are normally painted, with oak, birch or beech options also available.
• Round glazing openings are possible.
• Timber framing around every glazing opening provides secure fixing for the glazing beads.
