Our promise: Plans change, products get damaged, and suppliers sometimes make mistakes. We will not leave you stuck. When you start a project with us, we work with you right through to the finish. If changed plans mean you need a new door quickly, we will make it.
Founded in 1977 as Puusepänliike Tenho Pitkänen. In 2002, Tenho Pitkänen retired and Auvo Alholm, who had been involved from the beginning, acquired a majority shareholding. The company was renamed Ovesta Oy in 2007 to better reflect its work. Alholm remained Managing Director and principal owner until 2015, when Pasi Saarinen acquired all shares. After a transition period, Alholm retired in summer 2015. In December 2024, Kiilax Oy, part of Bergman & Beving AB, acquired all shares in Ovesta Oy. The acquisition supports Kiilax’s strategy to expand and strengthen its position in construction products.
Kiilax Oy is a Joensuu-based construction products company founded in 1993. Its range includes building wedges, inspection hatches, plywood, kitchens and heat pump enclosures. It has been part of Bergman & Beving AB since 2023.
Bergman & Beving AB is a Swedish listed company supplying technical products and solutions to industry and construction professionals. Founded in 1906, it operates in more than 20 countries and focuses on quality products such as tools, fasteners and construction components.
Ovesta Oy manufactures quality interior doors in special dimensions and constructions, bringing designers’ and clients’ ideas to life for Finnish and international markets.
- Products: flush doors, plastic doors, GRP doors, double-action doors, sliding doors, fire doors, acoustic doors, X-ray shielding doors, frames, thresholds, glazed partitions, fittings and accessories.
- Production: We use close-grained timber from the lower part of trees grown in North Karelia, sawing and planing it ourselves to obtain high-quality, close-grained, knot-free material. We manufacture and finish doors, frames and thresholds.
- Customers: construction companies, builders’ merchants, builders, developers and private customers.
- Projects: institutional buildings, commercial premises, renovations and detached houses.
